Well it's 2012. What am I looking forward to? Well for starters, I will be playing in my first opera orchestra. Handel's Alcina will be both a challenge and a great opportunity to learn about production.
Next, I will have my first spring semester. I have a very small idea of what to expect from January to May of 2012, but I'm sure it will be exciting.
Afterwords, or meanwhile, whichever comes first, I am aiming for a position with The Met Opera Student Ambassador's Program. This way, I can incorporate my blog with The Met to reach a wider audience as well as help them bring opera back to the younger generation.
Also, I'm hoping to see some big performances at the NY Phil, the Met Opera, NYC Opera, and anything else I can get a ticket for.
But I'm just looking forward for opportunities to learn and be connected to my fellow men.
So now I wish all my followers well with a happy new year and work well on your resolutions.
